How long a mother wants to breastfeed is her decision.

Both the WHO (World Health Organization) and the National Breastfeeding Commission (Germany) state that 6 months of breastfeeding is the optimal nutrition for a baby.

The first meals from the spoon (complementary food) are added to the diet at the earliest after the fourth month (at the latest after 6 months). Until then, you can breastfeed fully and replace one breastfeeding meal after another with a porridge after the 4th month at the earliest.

The recipe of our organic baby milk based on cow’s milk or goat’s milk is oriented to the best possible nutrient-rich nutrition in the first 1000 days. Because exactly this time is formative for the development of your child. The recipes of the baby milk vary depending on the manufacturer and variety, the exact ingredients are listed on the product page.

On our milk packs you will find the instructions that will guide you step by step through the preparation.

Infant formulas are formulated to fully meet the baby’s nutritional needs for the first six months and can therefore be used as the sole food. It is also possible to feed them in addition to the normal food (two-milk feeding). Pre food thus comes closest to breast milk. Infant formula can be offered according to the child’s needs and used until the end of bottle age, if the child is full and satisfied with it.

Follow-on formula is adapted to the nutritional needs of the older infant. For example, it contains more iron and less fat than the infant formula.

Therefore, this food is suitable for the older infant of complementary feeding age. Individual growth and developmental needs of the baby may mean that follow-on formula can be included in the diet at an earlier stage as part of a mixed diet. However, this should not be done without prior consultation with a doctor.

Once opened, you should consume the infant formula within two weeks. To ensure shelf life, store the package in a dry place. Always keep the measuring spoon clean and dry. Clean your bottle thoroughly after each use.

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid that is important for infants and relevant for brain development and the formation of vision. Therefore, it is important to include this fatty acid in our formula in sufficient quantities.

Lactose is a special sugar that is also contained in breast milk. The so-called milk sugar serves as a source of energy for your baby and is particularly important in the first months of life. That’s why baby milk often contains lactose.

The information on the packages is only a guideline. In fact, the requirement differs from child to child. Both indications are therefore correct. Parents decide at this point how many bottle-feeds their child needs in addition to complementary feeding (depending on age, number of complementary feeds per day, etc.).

Switching from one milk formula to the next is possible directly. This also applies to switching from our cow’s milk-based baby milk to our goat’s milk-based baby milk. Both infant milk formulas comply with the EU regulation and are tailored to the needs of babies, i.e., provide sufficient nutrients

It is quite normal that your baby initially rejects the “foreign” milk from the bottle. Only practice and a lot of patience will help here.

Offer the bottle regularly. Drip a little breast milk onto the tip of the teat to trigger your baby’s sucking reflex. It is also helpful to have another person offer the bottle, as when you are in the room, your baby will smell the breast milk and become fixated on you. To get your baby used to sucking from the bottle, you can also give pumped breast milk over the bottle at first.
